Canoeing With Teenagers......on the Wanganui River

Well, one minute we (me and Dad) were calmly going down a rapid, and the next minute were not! (Lucky we were wearing life jackets).

That's only because after the rapid there was a little whirlpool in a cave and the whirlpool dragged us into the cave then it slowly tipped us out, and well, we got saturated!

Then Mom and Jenny came down straight after us and started yelling at us to get out of their way and not to grab onto their canoe and we couldn't do anything else, so we just floated in the middle of the whirlpool whilst they caught all our stuff.

Finally the whirlpool moved to the edge of the cave whilst me and Dad made our swim for it.

After a while we finally got our canoe up the right way and dragged it back to shore. On the shore the V's were standing there laughing at us!

I was totally saturated and I was wearing my only jumper, so I had to borrow Dad's.
