FTP programs are used to upload pages to a host site on
the Internet. Download a suitable program from this page. WS-FTP LE works
well and is free.

A free hosting service with tools to create pages.
"Free" means no cost but ads are displayed.

2day.com
2day.com is a NZ ISP that provides web hosting. They also
provide free domain name parking and a guide to registering a domain name.
Very useful if you need to register the name now but are not yet ready
to upload your pages.
Javascripts
Earthweb.com have a number of tutorials and working examples of anything from HTML to Javascript.
Javascripts add advanced features to web pages for those ready to take the plunge. This site is
a good place to start.
