William Beattie started making large Concrete pots in 1988 starting with a King George. Combining his interest in botany and his long history of practical art forms he has devised a way of containing an ecology.

With these large pots it is possible to grow a piece of bush, a coastal landscape or a wetland. Plants can grow in these big pots for years; you can take them with you when you move.

As the value of large planters is becoming realized William Beattie's pots are appearing in suburban gardens, adorning apartment blocks, in wineries, public gardens and grand rural properties. Being made of reinforced concrete and coming in a range of finishes these planters have heirloom status. They are built to last a very long time.
